1. Preparing the design
To get started, download our special SVG file to your PC. now open the Cricut Design Space program. This program is the main tool for designing and customizing the motifs.
2. Upload the SVG file
In the upper left area you will find the workspace. Click on "Upload" in the left sidebar and import the downloaded SVG file.
3. Editing the motifs
As soon as the file is visible in the workspace, select all motifs. Under "Layer" you have the option to click on "Split" to separate the motifs from each other. You can then edit each motif individually using the "Merge" function.
4. Adjusting and arranging the motifs
The size of each motif can be adjusted as required under the "More" menu item.
5. Start the plotting process
Once you are happy with your design, click on "Create" in the top right-hand corner. This shows the motifs in your desired arrangement. carefully check all the details and then click on "Continue" to start the plotting process.
6. Material selection and plotting process
Select the right material for your plotting process and make sure that the motif is mirrored. Stick the film onto the cutting mat with the adhesive side facing upwards and the removable backing film at the bottom. This prevents the backing film from being damaged during cutting.
7. Weeding the motifs
Carefully remove the excess film background so that only the motifs remain on the backing film.
8. Preparation and application of the motifs
Prepare the EasyPress 3 by setting a temperature of 160 °C and a pressing time of 15 seconds for the Tubitherm flock film. Place the cushion cover on the EasyPress mat and press it for 15 seconds first. This makes the fabric smooth and ready for the motifs to be applied.
9. Transfer motifs to the cushion
Position the motifs where you want them on your cushion and press them in at 160 °C for 15 seconds. Allow everything to cool well first.
10. Finishing
As soon as the motifs have cooled down, carefully and slowly peel off the backing film. And that's it!
